Day 2: didn't go to plan but lovely bluebells
This morning we travelled from Minehead to Lynmouth/Lynton (via the Porlock Hill Toll road: not over the hill, but even the toll rd is scary driving). Its not until you arrive in the south west that you fully realise the complexity of the logistics in moving a camper van along and then trying to find transport back to where you want to start the days walk from. Hasten to say there was no stage 2 of the walk completed (lucky we started a day early). We've reviewed our plan, so will be back on track tomorrow. In the meantime we haven't been sitting around, we managed a 6 mile walk (part of which was the coastal path): although the hills made it feel like a 12 mile walk! And during todays walk we saw this...

ReplyDeleteLooking at the piccies while sitting on a stuffy train to London makes me yearn for fresh air.... good luck today....was it fish cakes and salad for tea last night??
