Marazion to Praa Sands: we saw St Michael Mount

Today we packed up our little tents, and in Sue's car moved to Praa Sands. As always the camp site is at the top of a steep hill, even getting from the toilet block involves a hill!

After erecting the tents and a short wait by the beach we caught a bus back to Marazion. At this point i should explain that we missed out walking from Mousehole/Penzance dueit mostly being urban landscape and because Sue has three days walking with us. All in all we probably missed about seven miles.

Lunch at Marazion before a few snap shots of St Michaels Mount (see photo's). I'll let you research the mount!

The signs for the path were few and far between, after about a mile the path seemed to end and lead us onto a rocky/stony outcrop. We scrambled (hard work) about quarter of a mile before we jointly agreed this could not possibly be the path: we turned back, and the found the right path.

After lots of ups and downs, we eventually made it back to Praa Sands where we sat in a beach  bar and watched the high tide rolling in. We had great fun watching two crazy dogs riding the waves chasing sticks and rocks thrown by their owner: a middle age man in a wet suit! The weather combined with the beach bar which had a great community feel made me feel like i was starring in an episode of home and away.

We lounged on sofa's drinking tea before the long walk up the hill to out camp site. All uneventful apart from 'Strong Sarah' squashing  a slug between her toes: thats what you get when combining wet grass and sandals!

Fitbit records: 29,937 steps, 12.65 miles and 107 flight of stairs.

Walked about 8 miles of the SWCP.
