Praa Sands to Gunwalloe: we had a cream tea
I'm a bit behind with my blog so this post relates to Wednesday. It was a slow start to the day. By the time we showered, faffed around, found the farmer to pay for the campsite, faffed around some more, then made our way down to the bar in the bay (home and away) for breakfast it was quite late. After food and a bit more faffing around we started todays walk. The coast path ambled along: gentle ascents and descents. We came across a mine used in the 1995 version of Poldark (see photo). The weather was gorgeous ( a little hot and not enough breeze) i think we've all suffered from a bit too much sun; there isn't much shade on the path. We took our time, lots of stops to observe the view and drink water. When we made it to Porthleven (a sun trap), we had out first cream tea (see photo). It was lovely! Some time later and a bit more faffing we set off. We crossed Loe Bar which is a sandbank created by storms which cut off the Cober Valley from the sea. The bar...
